MCAT Five-Question Quiz
This mini-event will occur at the end of our first meeting and cover only Chemistry. Whoever can answer the greatest number of questions correctly will win Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End on DVD. If multiple people correctly answer all five, the questions will continue until there is only one competitor left. Date TBD (but before summer!)
Guest Speaker, Dr. Rodeen Rahbar, MD.
We will be hearing from Dr. Rodeen Rahbar, a fellow in Vascular Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital. He will be talking about his experience as a doctor, some of the cool things he has seen, and what it’s really like in medicine (the good and the bad). This will be a great opportunity to talk to someone who is recently out of medical school and understands what we will be facing in medical field. If this isn’t enticing enough, free food will be provided!When: Friday, April 4th from 4:15 - 5:15 PM

Pitt AMSA's vice president for the 2007 calendar year, Ugochi Okoroafor, has teamed up with UNN-USA Alumni and Friends to sponsor a Book Drive that will be ongoing through the spring 2008 semester. The parent organization for this drive consists of alumni from the University of Nigeria who are living in the United States and collecting math and science textbooks, any accompanying study guides/manuals, and scientific journals (or other professional academic materials) for the school's library and several of their math and science departments. Your help is much needed and kindly requested in the following ways:
If any questions or problems arise in your work with Ugochi's drive, for instance you have books that you would like to donate but can't get them to the pickup point or you're not sure if a textbook's fit enough to donate, please contact either Ugochi or Sean and we'll help you with your issue as soon as possible.
