Welcome to the University of Pittsburgh's Pre-medical chapter of the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) online! Through this website, which will be updated about once a week, you can keep updated on opportunities, past accomplishments, goals, schedule changes, social events, and inter/national healthcare AMSA efforts. PittAMSA is dedicated to providing you with the best possible opportunities to prepare you for a successful career in healthcare. As a member or prospective member, you will be invited to volunteer events, workshops, MCAT study groups, opportunities for academically-oriented travel, and forums with guest speakers spanning from medical students to researchers and admissions faculty. If you're on our forward list, you will receive frequent updates on internships, job offers, job-shadowing, and research opportunities. Our goal is to provide a supportive environment for you to explore a variety of careers in medicine. Watch the video below or come to one of our meetings to learn how you can get involved!

Where: Cathedral of Learning, Room 232.
When: Next meeting is next semester - Fridays from 4:15 - 5:15 PM. First one TBA so be sure to check back or request a spot on the dlist if you're not already!


What's New as of 04/13/2008
 

  • We had our last meeting of the spring on April 11, 2008 and had a pizza party and an MCAT Five-Question Quiz. The winner received the Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End DVD.
  • Updates in Pick of the Week, Public Health, GLBTQ Health, Executive Board, and Women's Health
